How We Met

Caitlin says they met on OkCupid. Tigh says it was Craigslist. The truth? It doesn't matter. Now that they've found each other, they're never letting go.

Nice to Machu Picchu

After only six months of dating, Tigh and Caitlin decided to go on a trip together to Peru. It was there, while visiting Machu Picchu, that they said "I love you" to each other for the first time, just as the sun came up over Huyana Picchu. Then they hiked Machu Picchu Mountain and were so sore they could barely walk for the rest of the trip. Worth it!

The Proposal

Tigh proposed to Caitlin in September 2019 in Paris. They were sitting on the banks of the Seine near their rented apartment on Île Saint-Louis, enjoying a très français dinner of cheese, baguette, duck sausage, and rosé while watching the sun sink, the boats float and the non-saucisson ducks paddle. Just as Caitlin was thinking life couldn't get any better than this, Tigh asked her to marry him. The answer was oui, bien sûr! They hugged and kissed and cried, casually ignored by the local youths who sat nearby smoking and strumming guitars, and only broke their reverie to go inside after the sky grew dark and the local rats grew hungry.

Civil Ceremony

Tigh and Caitlin were legally married on September 16, 2020 in Martin Luther King, Jr. community park, directly across the street from their apartment building. Due to COVID, there were no guests in attendance, but the love of family and friends was deeply felt and appreciated.
