FIRST MEETING

It all began on a late summer night,
when the air was still warm, and the evenings were still bright.

Anna and Mikael were invited to a dinner with mutual friends,
and funny enough their first meeting got captured through a photo lens.
As the footage can tell, the night went pretty well.

Anna got a crush in the moment they were introduced, and for Mikael it took one conversation to get seduced.
They discovered a shared passion for food and real estate, and the conversation kept going until pretty late.

After a while Mikael said “It’s not everyday you meet someone both beautiful and smart",
and in that moment he stole Anna’s heart.

The evening went by and before it was too late, Anna asked her friend Vendela if she should ask Mikael out on a date.
Vendela shouted “Yes why not!” and then she had another shot.

After a while Anna dared to ask: “Would you like to meet up sometime when we’re sober?”
And Mikael answered: “That sounds great, but my calendar is full until October”.

It was not until much later he learned that his poor choice of words,
actually could have been the end for these two lovebirds.

Luckily, Mikael kept his word and asked Anna out a month later,
and they got along even greater.

You can probably figure out the rest,
since you’re now invited as their wedding guest.

PROPOSAL

As you might know, the proposal didn’t actually go as planned.
It actually took two tries to ask for Annas hand.

It began with a certain father that revealed the secret in advance,
and on top of that the intended evening was accursed with poor circumstance.

When Mikael finally popped the question in the wrong moment,
it didn’t immediately lead to an engagement enrollment.

Obviously, this was not a moment of glory, but in retrospect it’s actually a funny story.

On a second try, Mikael had arranged a private dinner on the beach,
But once again an engagement was almost out of reach.

Because a tropical storm was approaching and the dinner plans was almost destroyed,
and by this time Mikael began to get really annoyed.

Luckily for the couple it did not start to rain,
so after an amazing dinner Mikael could his love explain.

And during the thunderstorm next to the sea,
Mikael finally went down on one knee.

Evidently his strategy was a great success,
and of course the answer from Anna was a million times yes!

DATE STORY

One of the, undoubtedly, most memorable dates for me was during a trip to Marbella in 2019. We had been dating for almost a year, so at this time he made a little extra effort haha

I remember Micke telling me he had a surprise, and all of the sudden we got into a taxi and I had no idea where we were going. After a while I noticed that we were on our way to a more deserted area, and eventually we drove into a strange fenced area. The only thing I saw was a big warehouse building and a paddle court, and my first thought was "Oh no, do not tell me we are going to play paddle, especially in this outfit?! 

But as soon as we drove past the building, I see the helicopter...  

We had a wonderful flight over Marbella and the nearby town of Ronda, until we finally landed in the middle of the mountains. We got to enjoy a fantastic, and long, wine lunch in a beautiful and private restaurant with amazing mountain views, before taking the helicopter back again.

Definitely a dream date that I will remember forever

DATE STORY

A funny moment I remember was from our trip to Mexico and the adventure park Xplor. We were going on a zipline ride that allowed us to go together, and the instructor was very clear with the instructions:

“The only important thing is that you do not let go of her harness, since that is the only thing keeping you together in the ride”.

When we left the platform I suddenly remembered I forgot to start the GoPro camera, so without a second thought I quickly let go of Anna to press the start button. That is actually the exact same moment captured on the photo (you can imagine Anna screaming at me under that mask) and I can hear the instructor yelling “NOOOO DON’T LET GOOOO!!” behind us.

I see Anna going further and further ahead of me and in the blink of an eye, I get a horrifying image in my head of Anna landing at the next platform and me coming in at full speed one second behind and crush her. That would not have been a pleasant call to make to her parents…

Luckily, my weight made me go in a faster speed than her on the ride, which allowed me to gently catch her before we reached the platform. Of course I told her that I had the situation all under control the whole time!
