Andrew was born in Burnsville, raised in Eagan, and now living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His father is Hai and his mother is Kim Anh. They both immigrated from Vietnam. He is the younger, more rebellious, and worse child of two (sister Kim Kraly). His parents claim they love him equally but he knows what's true. He most recently became an uncle!
He is a nerd at heart. His friends often call him "four eyes" or simply "minitank". Andrew is actually a lot like Clark Kent/Superman. Nerd by Day, Hero at Night. He went to Augsburg University where he studied Physics and Chemistry. He currently is working at Medtronic as a Design Engineer and studying to obtain his Master in Business Analytics at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
Besides annoying May most of the time, Andrew enjoys hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, traveling, video games, and investing (someone has to pay the bills). He often contemplates why May could even like someone so narcissistic like him. He's a big fan of Justin Bieber.
May was born in Fresno, California and currently lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her father is Chong and her mother is Ker. She is the middle child of nine. May is a second mother to twenty-seven children, aka, her nieces and nephews. Though they can drive her off the wall sometimes, she can't imagine life without them.
May studied Public Health her undergraduate years and later obtained her Master of Science in Health Care Communication at the University of St. Thomas.
If and when May has downtime, there's usually two things you'll catch her doing 1) spending time with family or 2) exploring the world with Andrew.
Can we just call this love story serendipity? An unexpected good luck – the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
Andrew and May met through a mutual friend at the tail end of 2016. In early 2017, they ran into each other a few times, but never made the effort to stay in touch. One evening January 2019, intoxicated and bold Andrew slipped a DM into May's inbox about getting together - she politely declined. A week later they randomly bumped into each other and decided to grab coffee. Though they enjoyed each other's company, things were 'almost' left as is after they parted ways. Andrew eventually asked May to dinner and once again, she declined. He said her walls were as high as the Game of Throne walls - pointless to pursue, he dropped his end of the rope along with his climbing shoes. Sure enough, after a couple of months, they randomly ran into each other again in early April 2019. With Andrew's charm and persistence, they continued their friendship and on May 22, 2019 they made things exclusive - oh you know, the whole boy/girlfriend ordeal. A year into their relationship, May 22, 2020, Andrew round up some family members and close friends and got down on one knee. Thankfully, May didn't decline this time. They happily agreed to move their relationship to this next phase of life and are excited to celebrate their important day with you all July 2021!
Andrew and May travelled quite a bit before they met. Their love for exploring has took them to many beautiful places together.
