History

Holy Trinity Cathedral is known for its historical and architectural significance that dates back to 1859. Alysia's parents were also married at the Cathedral and Alysia was baptized in this special place where she is an active member of the congregation.

Parking Info

Arrive early!

Parking at the Cathedral is very limited.

We encourage you to park (free of charge with no restrictions) at New Westminster City Hall on Royal Avenue.

Plan a carpool/Uber with your friends or use public transit. Columbia Skytrain Station is located right beside the Cathedral.

Children are welcome to attend the Wedding Ceremony at the Cathedral. 

Afternoon Tea

The Royal Westminster Regiment Armoury

Immediately after the ceremony at the Cathedral, please make your way to the The Royal Westminster Regiment Armoury, located on 530 Queens Ave, New Westminster, to the Armoury to meet the newlyweds.


The Armoury is located a short 7 minute walk uphill.

Complimentary transportation will be available for those who require it.

Note: We are honoured to have been granted this special privilege to host our Afternoon Tea Reception at the Armoury. Your presence will make our day historic and very meaningful!

Immediately after the service at the Cathedral, tea/coffee and cake will be served in the Church Hall.

Afterwards Karen Baker-MacGrotty and David MacGrotty are hosting an afternoon tea nearby and all are welcome. More details to come.
