On the 18th green of the Fazio Foothills course in Austin, Texas Allie drained a 20 foot putt, Greg went to reach for the ball and pulled out a ring. After dating for a year and a half, on the scorching hot day of August 5th, 2020 Greg asked Allie to spend the rest of her life with him.
We first met at Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama when Allie backed into Greg's car in the school parking lot.
We were friends through high school and college at the University of Alabama.
After college Allie travelled to Australia and then lived in California for six years; while Greg pursued his golf career in North Carolina, Louisiana and then to Austin, Texas.
While we lost touch over the years we quickly reconnected in Austin. Our first date was to the 2019 Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club where we watched Tiger Woods hole out for eagle on tournament hole thirteen. Greg likes to say Tiger sealed the deal for him.
