We met in October of our senior year of college at Portland State University. We were both out with our friends at a PSU staple (at least it was in 2011) called Bar XV. We are cringing as we write this because, well; if you know, you KNOW.
Somewhere in between the hot and sweaty dance area (Alisha would like to note she was not in that area) and the bar (most likely she was here) we crossed paths. I (Alisha) vividly remember telling Nate how cold I was and how much I was dreading the walk home. Nate, being the sweet human he is listened as I complained... At the end of the night and after our riveting conversation about how cold it was we exchanged numbers and began texting pretty much day and night.
It wasn't until about a month later when we went on our first date to eat tacos and drink margaritas. We spent the last half of our senior year building a friendship and made it official in June of 2012. Once we graduated we moved back home to Washington where we have living and raising our two dogs together.
