Mustards Grill is a mainstay in the Napa/Yountville area and another favorite of Margaret and Adam. They are known for their wood burning grill and in particular the ribs and pork chops. Tips for visiting wineries

Welcome wine country! Before your visit, consider doing a little research into wineries you might like to visit. Below are several recommendations from Margaret and Adam. While some wineries are more relaxed and do not require reservations, many do. Consider making reservations for wine tastings before you arrive in Napa. Also, plan your arrival to and departure from the vineyards. Ride sharing like Uber is available or you can hire a driver.

Ram's Gate is a favorite winery of Margaret and Adam. It's about a 45 minute drive from San Francisco and a first spot as you enter wine country and Sonoma. From Ram's Gate, it will be an additional 30 minute drive to downtown Napa. Plan accordingly!

Make an appointment for a wonderful wine tasting experience. They are open Thursday through Monday. Ram's Gate also offers delicious food pairings along with sweeping vineyard views and sleek yet rustic  architecture by Howard Backen.

Frog's Leap

Visit Frog's Leap for a charming and quintessential wine tasting experience. From the red barn to the vineyard and sustainable farm, it's truly delightful!

Sitting outside at Alpha Omega and watching the rise and fall of the water feature while learning about and enjoying their various varietals is what Napa is all about. Alpha Omega is a relatively new winery that opened in 2006.

Ashes & Diamonds is the newest kid on the block in Napa. The mid-century modern tasting room definitely stands out among the vineyards as you drive down Highway 29.
