It was September 2013, Dave had just started working in Bristol and Jess was a fresh faced university graduate. Dave spent his days driving to and from Somerset and Jess spent her days driving around Bristol picking up strangers who needed a hire car.
The chances of Dave and Jess meeting in traditional circumstances, for example a bar, were slim. But luckily for them, Tinder, the online dating app, was gaining popularity. Dave set about creating his profile, choosing his pictures carefully (yes the time Dave dressed up as a tent to the 'Big Wigs and Figs' party featured). Jess on the other hand chose two pictures, taken quite far away, and didn't bother with a bio (you don't want to give too much away, right?!). However this didn't deter either of them and two swipes right and the only tinder date each of them would go on later, they were official.
And the rest, they say, is history.
